The Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo will be held on Friday, May 3rd – Sunday, May 5th, 2024 in Guymon, Oklahoma. This Guymon rodeo is held at Henry C. Hitch Pioneer Arena and hosted by Frontier Rodeo Co.
Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo is sanctioned by both the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, both of which serve as the largest sanctioning bodies in the sport. Money won in Guymon counts toward qualifications to the National Finals Rodeo, which takes place in Las Vegas.

Stalls: Yes. Limited stalls are available at Texas County Fairground on a first come/ first serve basis. Horses must be out of Texas County Fairgrounds first thing Friday Morning. All rigs must be moved out of upper parking area (fan Parking) at Henry C. Hitch Arena by Noon of Friday.

Ground Rules: Two go rounds. First go round held during slack Thursday May 2 5:00pm. Second go round as follows: Top 48 to performances (Splits decided by judges flip). Twelve (12) contestants per performance in progressive. Balance of second round held Thursday, May 2 one hour after completion of the first round. Contestants must notify secretary within 15 minutes of the end of the first go if they are turning out on their second run. Trades will be allowed in the second go, but only from one performance to another. Trades must be completed with the secretary by the end of the second go slack. Will draw for position after trades are complete. Second go slack will be run in reverse order with all releases, turn outs & non notified turnouts taken out. (If you do not wish to make your second run, you must notify secretary before go 2 starts to avoid TO fine. If you missed first run and want to make second run, you must notify secretary by end of go 1.) Only actual contestant and one companion (with pass) allowed gate access. Tractor Drag at half for what it is set up for; 5 if set up for 10 and 6 if set up for 12 (Condensed). All notified turn outs and Releases from each performance and slack will be taken out of the draw after the out deadline. Positions will move up and be posted at the rodeo office before the rodeo begins. I.E. If you are number 9 and there are 2 releases prior to you, you will be draw number 7. Committee will drag at 5 or fewer if set up for 10, 6 or fewer if set up for 12. **any notified turnouts who do reverse their turnout will run at the end of their performance/slack with no additional dragging for them.
