The Kern County Fair Rodeo will be held on Friday, September 27th – Saturday, September 28th, 2024 in Bakersfield, California. This Bakersfield rodeo is held at Kern County Fairgrounds and hosted by Flying U Rodeo.

A PRCA Rodeo is the culmination of the fastest cowgirls and the toughest cowboys in the professional sport of rodeo, who put their skills to the test in rodeo’s six standard events plus the women’s barrel race. From the colorful opening ceremonies and the grand entry, through the timed events, contract acts and rough stock rides, rodeo is pure entertainment

Ground Rules: Trade Deadline: September 20 4:00pm MT. Tractor Drag at half of what it is set up for; 5 if set up for 10 and 6 if set up for 12 (Condensed). All notified turnouts and releases from each performance and slack will be taken out of the draw after the turnout deadline. Positions will move up and be posted at the rodeo office before the rodeo begins. I.E. If you are number 9 and there are 2 releases prior to you, you will then be number 7. Committee will drag at 5 or fewer if set up for 10, 6 or fewer if set up for 12. **any notified turnouts who do reverse their turnout with the rodeo secretary will run at the end of their performance/slack with no additional dragging for them. The "Walk-Up Replacement ” Policy will be in effect.
