Ground Rules: Trade Deadline: April 16 4:00pm MT. Limited to 80 Qualifications: 32 from 2023 Pro Rodeo World Standings; 20 from 2024 Pro Rodeo World Standings based on winnings 7 days prior to entries closing; 2 from the 2023 WPRA Tour Standings; 16 from 2023 Pro Rodeo California Circuit Standings; 10 from 2024 Pro Rodeo California Circuit Standings based on winnings 7 days prior to entries closing. "30 hour replacement policy" in effect. Format: Two full go-rounds and Finals (12). First go – April 25 at 9am (slack everyone runs). There will be NO first go trades. Second go – the top 36 based on the fastest times from the first go-round will advance to performances 1-3 (April 25 6:00pm, April 26 6:00pm & April 27 2:00pm). Any ties will be broken by the Judges and the positions for the top 36 who progress will be 25 thru 36 will run Thursday night, 24 thru 13 will run Friday night and 12-1 will run Saturday afternoon perf. Randomly drawn for positions in each performance. All remaining barrel racers not including the top 36 will run slowest to fastest with all turn-outs and releases taken out. Second round will start back one hour after the first go ends. Trades will be permitted in the second go-round, between the performances only. Trades must be completed with the secretary one (1) hour after first go-round ends and BEFORE the beginning of the second go-round. Random Competition Draw for perfs will be held after trades are closed. Second go round trades allowed perf to perf only. Finals - The top 12 on 2 runs will progress on to the Finals on April 30 2:00pm. If splits/ties result in the final round, refer to WPRA Rule 10.3.5.5 for clarification. All contestants will enter arena through the center gate on the west end of arena directly south of the timed event chute and exit through the gate on the northwest corner of the arena. Contestants must adhere to parking regulations. No horses will be tied to any chain link fence. Tie in specified areas only. No raking during performances. We request the pattern be set by no later than 7:00am on April 25, 2024. Tractor Drag at half for what it is set up for; 5 if set up for 10 and 6 if set up for 12 (Condensed). All notified turn outs and Releases from each performance and slack will be taken out of the draw after the out deadline. Positions will move up and be posted at the rodeo office before the rodeo begins. I.E. If you are number 9 and there are 2 releases prior to you, you will be draw number 7. Committee will drag at 5 or fewer if set up for 10, 6 or fewer if set up for 12. **any notified turnouts who do reverse their turnout with rodeo secretary will run at the end of their performance/slack with no additional dragging for them.
