The Red Bluff Barrel Challenge will be held on Friday, April 21st – Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 in Red Bluff, California. This Red Bluff rodeo is held at Frank Moore Arena.
The Red Bluff Round-Up is the largest 3 day rodeo in the country with over 750 contestants that compete for over $375,000 in prize money.
With over 100 years of tradition and a little bit of something for everyone, its an event you don't want to miss.
Not only are the top cowboys and cowgirls featured in the arena and on the track, but there is food, shopping, saloons, and more. The whole family will enjoy this affordable community event.

Ground Rules: Format: Two full go-rounds. First go- Friday, April 15th 10:00am (slack, everyone runs). There will be NO first go-round trades. Second go-The top 36 based on the fastest times from the first go-round, will advance to the performances. The top 36 will be placed in the performances slowest to fastest, however each performance will be random competition drawn. All remaining barrel racers not including the top 36 will run in reverse/flip order of the 1st go-round. Second round will start back one hour after the first go ends. Trades will be permitted in the second go-round, between the performances only. Trades must be completed one (1) hour after first go-round ends and BEFORE the beginning of the second go-round. Random Competition Draw for perfs will be held after trades are closed. Second go round trades allowed perf to perf only. There will be NO trades to Slack. Secretaries discretion whether trade is legal. Tractor drag after 6. All notified turn outs and Releases from each performance and slack will be taken out of the draw after the out deadline. Positions will move up and be posted at the rodeo office before the rodeo begins. I.E. If you are number 9 and there are 2 releases prior to you, you will be draw number 7. Committee will drag at 6 or fewer. **any notified turnouts who do reverse their turnout will run at the end of their performance/slack with no additional dragging for them. Barrel Racer may choose to set her run up as allowed in the 2021 WPRA Rule Book, even if the pattern is centered to gate. Contestants competing on Saturday or Sunday performances will be required to sign autographs following performances. Contestants will be asked to sign autographs and mingle with VIP's in Rodeo Sky box. All contestants must wear back numbers provided by Red Bluff Round-Up Rodeo Secretary, which must be visible at all times upon entrance to the rodeo grounds, whether competing or not. Any misuse of back number will be cause for disqualification. In the times events, only the contestant who is competing is allowed in the arena. No horses are allowed in arena when tractor is working. Companion ticket may be requested from a designated contestant at check-in booth prior to each performance. All contestants must sign a release of liability with the secretary before competing in this rodeo. Contestants must park horse trailers in designated areas. Only rodeo contestants with a valid contestant number will be allowed behind the chutes and in the chute or arena area. Numbers must be clearly visible. Anyone caught with an invalid number (one not belonging to them) will have that number confiscated. Anyone giving their number to someone else and/or the recipient of the number will be turned into the PRCA/WPRA and will be subject to the 2 year ban.
