The 57th Annual Strathmore Stampede will be held on Friday, August 4th – Monday, August 7th, 2023 in Strathmore, Alberta. This Strathmore rodeo is held at Strathmore Rodeo Grounds.
The 57th Strathmore Stampede is home to the Running with the Bulls, CPRA Pro Rodeo & World Profession Chuckwagon Races held annually on August Long Weekend.

1. SB, BB, BR QUALIFICATIONS: Maximum 48 based on Top 50 blended CPRA/PRCA standings as of July 13, 2023. Remaining Positions if any of the qualification categories are not filled by contestants within the top 50 blended standings will first be filled by the top 20 contestants from the 2022 CPRA standings, followed by contestants with 2023 dollars won and the remaining filled by a random draw of first carded members then semi pro, and then permit holders.
2. SW, TDR, TR, LBR, BAW QUALIFICATIONS: Maximum 75 based on Top 100 blended CPRA/PRCA/WPRA standings as of July 13, 2023. Remaining positions if any of the qualification categories are not filled by contestants within the top 100 blended standings will first be filled by the top 20 contestants from the 2022 CPRA standings, followed by contestants with dollars won and the remaining filled by random draw of first the carded members then the semi pro and finally the permits.
3. RE-ENTRIES ALL EVENT: If needed, will be accepted for available positions 48 hours after entries close from 8am-2pm. See rodeo entry information on rodeo schedule. A contestant that re-enters will not be placed in a position that conflicts with his position at another association rodeo or event.
4. ALTERNATE PROCEDURE: Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry but were drawn out will be added to an alternate list. These contestants will be notified of any turn-outs or doctor releases and be given the option of re-entry up to the 24 hours prior to rodeo turn out deadline. If stock has already been drawn in the rough stock they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock for that performance and all re-ride stock for that performance.
* If a contestant notifies a turn-out, DR or visible release and is replaced by an alternate, the alternate contestant will be responsible for the entry fees. If the contestant that notified the turnout or visible release is not replaced by an alternate, they will be responsible for the entry fee. If a contestant properly doctor releases they will not be responsible for entry fees. If a contestant is a non-notified turn-out they will be responsible to pay entry fees whether they are replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR's and VIR's).
5. Spares will be used for reruns in all timed events
6. JSR is Friday Aug 4, Sat Aug 5, and Sun Aug 6
7. Novice BB and SB will be August 4, and August 5
8. No pre-conditioning of the timed event cattle.
9. No cross entries from novice to open
10. Arena will be closed 2 hours prior to the slack and performances
11. Barrel racers must be ready to compete when called upon, defined as mounted and in the lead up alley. Failure to do so will result in a fine.
