The first go will be held during slack each morning, with the top 10 fastest times advancing to the performance that night and the remaining contestants not advancing will run their second go after the breakaways first go in slack that morning. Fastest 12 advancing to finals. Finals will be August 6 starting at 8:00pm and run positions will be random draw. GBR contestants will start from the same alley and same gate and shall enter the arena ready to run. The gate is on the north end of the arena. If a contestant who qualifies for the finals notifies a turn-out, or visible injury release through Procom, the contestant with the next highest ranking may be placed in that available position. Non-notified TO's and VIR's after the turn out deadline will not be replaced. If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the position, the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in the position. Contestant parking is primarily to the east of the arena. Overflow parking is available directly southeast of the arena. All areas to the west of the arena are fan parking. Any contestants parking in a fan parking must move to contestant parking by 4:00pm each day. Parking areas will be signed appropriately. Tractor drag after 5 in first and second go and after 6 in Finals (Condensed). All notified turn outs and Releases from each performance and slack will be taken out of the draw after the turn out deadline. Positions will move up and be posted at the rodeo office before the rodeo begins. I.E. If you are number 9 and there are 2 releases prior to you, you will be draw number 7. Committee will drag at 5 or fewer in first and second go and 6 or fewer in Finals. **any notified turnouts who do reverse their turnout will run at the end of their performance/slack with no additional dragging for them. Second go will be reverse order from first go.
The condensed drag order after 5 that is set in the first round will be used in the flipped second round. For example, if you are 1st on the drag in the 1st round, you will be last on the drag in the 2nd round. Tractor will remain parked in the arena between drags.
